The franchise renewal of ABS-CBN has been the talk of the town since May 5. This gains thousands of reactions and opinions from many.
Since the news came, many Kapamilya artists have been vocal for their support of their home network. However, some of them remained silent.
Speaking of the artists who is very vocal for their support, Angel Locsin is indeed among them. As we are all aware of, Angel has been called as real-life Darna because of her endeavors.
Angel has been known for portraying the iconic Filipino superheroine Darna. She played the tole on GMA-7.
So when the ABS-CBN is about to do a remake, Angel turned down the offer. It was later offered to Liza Soberano.
Unfortunately, Liza can’t do the role anymore as she accidentally injured her finger during their Bagani days.
It was later announced that Jane De Leon finally had the spot.
Since then, Jane has been praised and eyed by many as the role of Darna is considered as one of the most prestigious roles of all times.
On the other hand, it seems like that the before and current Darna are not in a good relationship.
This is after the two personalities sparks speculations when they both posted a cryptic message on their social media talking about showing support for ABS-CBN.
“Masakit po sa akin ang nangyari sa ABS-CBN dahil pangalawang tahanan ko na rin po ito na syang nagbigay sa akin ng mga opportunities to gradually reach my goals in life, na unti-unting nagpabago sa buhay ko at ng aking pamilya. And I will forever be thankful sa ABS-CBN and its management,” De Leon said.
However, Jane pointed out that showing support can’t be measured by going on rallies as it could be more dangerous due to the virus.
While Angel seemed to answered back and said that she doesn’t need to go out in rally to show her support. She also stressed that now is not the time to be silent.
